Fred Lynch is a dynamic youth communicator with more than 18 years of inner-city ministry experience and is the founder of UrbNet a National Network of Urban Youth Workers. At the age of 18 Fred help found P.I.D. (Preachers in Disguise) one of the first gospel rap acts and went on to record 6 albums. Fred is the author of The Epic, an artistic translation of the Gospel of John in rap. Fred and D’Ann, his wife of 14 years, currently live in Dallas, TX with there two children: Asia and Jordan.

20 Years of Service

Fred's ministry began out on the streets of Dallas Texas. Sensing a need within his own community at the age of 15 Fred began going door to door and street to street sharing the gospel with all who would listen. After graduating from Christ for the Nations Institute at 18 Fred organized a Christian rap group (P.I.D. aka Preachers in Disguise) to perform raw, relevant ‘message driven music’ in a familiar rhythm and rhyme style. Fred’s aggressive approach in evangelism and discipleship generated a pastoral position as he outreached to youth in the inner city. Recently serving as the urban ministry coordinator for the Josh McDowell Ministry for eight years Fred began shaping his vision to equip and inspire youth and youth workers to change their world.

To this day, Fred still serves as an urban missionary in Dallas, Texas where he lives with his wife D-Ann and their two children. A veteran CORE® speaker with Youth Specialties, Fred has more than 18 years of inner-city ministry experience. The dynamic abilities that Fred Lynch brings to the table cooks up a symphony of ministry outlets that he so skillfully crafts to advance the body of Christ.

Looking Ahead

I had no idea of what God had planned. What started out as a private passion to transfer truth in a unique way has become an incredible vehicle to share the gospel with millions. From my early teenage days of ‘rapping’ the gospel to the present (20 years later), I have truely been blessed to be a part of countless opportunities to serve the body of Christ.
